Follow these easy steps to avoid having to buy or attach the zipper foot:

1. Lay the first panel across the zipper, lining the edge up or the fabric with the edge of the zipper and pin the panel to the zipper, making sure the right side of the zipper and the right side of the fabric are facing each other.



2. Carefully sew as close to the teeth of the zipper as possible.



































This is what you should have, so far.

3. Remove the pins, fold the right panel back and press.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 and your project should look like this so far:
5. To give it a professional finish, top stitch on either side of the right side of the zipper.
